JOB DESCRIPTION
- Supervise and execute day-to-day electrical operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plant equipment and control systems.
- Handle and monitor Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and electrical drives in the production line.
- Plan and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Prepare maintenance schedules, shutdown plans, and ensure timely execution.
- Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective actions and system improvements.
- Interpret electrical schematics, layouts, and circuit diagrams for troubleshooting and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with Electrical Standards, Safety Regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Support project execution, including installation, commissioning, and upgrades of electrical systems.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth plant operations and maintenance planning.
- Monitor energy consumption and recommend energy-saving initiatives.
- Maintain documentation including AMC records, service reports, and equipment history.
- Conduct and support safety audits and ensure adherence to EHS policies.
- Prepare MIS reports and provide updates to management on plant performance.
- Assist procurement team with technical specifications for electrical spares and equipment.
- Supervise technicians and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems in paper mills, including drives, motors, and control panels.
- Experience in handling DCS / PLC systems and industrial automation.
- Understanding of power electronics, power distribution, and transmission systems.
- Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance and electrical safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Basic understanding of industrial communication systems.
- Experience in MIS reporting and documentation.
