This role is for a Project Leader in a leading Paper Mill in Northen India. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading projects from conception to commissioning, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Job Description
Project Planning & Reporting
- Prepare detailed project reports from concept to commissioning.
- Develop cost schedules for the entire project lifecycle.
Engineering & Design Responsibilities
- Prepare Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
- Design plant layouts, equipment specifications, and manufacturing drawings.
- Ensure proper documentation and tracking systems are in place for engineering processes.
Mechanical Engineering Protocols & Standards
- Implement mechanical design principles ensuring compliance with industrial and safety standards.
- Conduct stress analysis, thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics assessments for project components.
- Ensure structural integrity and load calculations for heavy equipment installations.
- Oversee the alignment, balancing, and vibration analysis of rotating equipment.
- Implement preventive maintenance protocols for newly installed machinery.
- Ensure adherence to ASME, ISO, and other relevant mechanical engineering standards in project execution.
Procurement & Negotiation
- Handle negotiations and cost management for equipment procurement and contract finalization.
- Guide procurement teams in selecting vendors, machinery, spare parts, and technological consultants.
Project Execution & Team Management
- Develop and manage project bar charts and schedules.
- Supervise the erection and commissioning of equipment to achieve the required operational efficiency.
- Recruit and manage a team of suitable professionals for project execution.
- Provide guidance to cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Reporting & Coordination
- Report directly to the Factory Technical Head.
- Ensure all processes align with organizational objectives and efficiency standards.
Project Job Requirements
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of pulp and paper mill equipment calculations.
- Familiarity with mechanical engineering standards and best practices for industrial projects.
- Experience:
- Minimum 18 years of experience in project execution.
- At least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Industry Background:
- Proven track record in paper industry projects.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Strong communication and team-building abilities.
