A reputed corrugation unit is seeking a results-driven Plant Operations Executive – PPC to strengthen its production planning and control operations. The role is ideal for candidates with around 5 years of hands-on experience in scheduling, inventory coordination, quality control, and inter-departmental collaboration in a corrugated carton box manufacturing environment.
PPC JOB Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop and monitor daily/weekly production schedules in alignment with customer orders.
- Allocate manpower, machines, and materials for optimum resource utilization.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials, tools, and consumables to avoid delays.
Inventory Management:
- Track inventory of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
- Coordinate with stores and procurement to avoid stockouts and overstocking.
- Implement practices to reduce material waste and inventory costs.
Process Control & Improvement:
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and improve throughput.
- Assist in implementing SOPs and control measures to reduce defects and downtime.
- Support the maintenance team to ensure machines run efficiently.
Coordination & Communication:
- Liaise with sales, order management, dispatch, and store departments for workflow alignment.
- Share daily production updates with internal teams and escalate issues promptly.
- Ensure team awareness of schedule changes and operational adjustments.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Monitor in-process and finished goods quality as per defined standards.
- Coordinate with the QA team for timely resolution of non-conformities.
- Maintain adherence to ISO/QMS practices and plant hygiene protocols.
Cost & Performance Monitoring:
- Track material and labor usage against planned benchmarks.
- Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities in operations and procurement.
- Prepare regular reports on production performance, downtime, and quality indicators.
Job Requirements
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering
- 4–6 years of experience in PPC or plant operations, preferably in corrugation or packaging sector
- Knowledge of production scheduling, quality systems (ISO 9001), and basic inventory control
- Strong coordination, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Excel, basic ERP/MIS tools, and reporting formats
