Job Description

1. Oversee mechanical maintenance of Paper Machines, Stock Preparation systems, Rewinders, and Finishing House equipment.
2. Generate and manage budgets for spare parts and maintenance supplies.
3. Plan and execute maintenance activities, including material and manpower planning, as well as spare parts management.
4. Develop and maintain a comprehensive list of spares required for all equipment.
5. Plan and supervise shutdown activities to ensure seamless vertical startups and implement corrective and preventive actions.
6. Prepare and update regular maintenance procedures for equipment.
7. Lead the erection and commissioning of new equipment as needed.
8. Provide engineering support to the procurement department for technical specifications and evaluations.
9. Ensure compliance with existing documentation practices and incorporate updates or additions as necessary.
10. Maintain, promote, and educate team members on safety standards and best practices.
11. Collaborate with support departments to ensure optimized services and coordination.
12. Report directly to the Department Head and provide regular updates on activities and progress.

Mechanical Maintenance Jobs Requirements

1. Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in operation and maintenance within a paper mill, particularly with Paper Machines.
2. Proven expertise in Stock Preparation, Finishing House operations, and related processes.
3. Solid understanding of Paper Machine Maintenance and Captive Power Plant systems.
4. Skilled in specialized repairs and machining techniques.
5. Prior experience in a mechanical department within the paper industry is mandatory.
6. Strong communication skills for effective coordination and team leadership.
7. Experience in creating P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and a working knowledge of piping layouts and basic hydraulic designs.
8. Demonstrated ability to manage human resources in a unionized environment.
