Role Summary
The Indian paper industry is witnessing strong growth in packaging, converting, and specialty applications. To support this expansion, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager / Deputy Manager – Sales & Marketing to strengthen our market presence in Cone/Core Board and MG Specialty Paper segments. The role focuses on developing new markets, managing key accounts, supporting distributors, and achieving consistent sales growth through proactive marketing and customer engagement initiatives.
Marketing Jobs Responsibilities
Sales & Market Development
- Implement regional and national sales plans for assigned products and territories.
- Explore new applications, customers, and markets for business expansion.
- Support participation in industry trade shows, seminars, and buyer–seller meets.
Customer Relationship & Distribution Management
- Strengthen long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and end users.
- Ensure consistent communication, prompt service, and post-sales support.
- Monitor competitor activity and recommend corrective actions.
Business Performance & Revenue Management
- Achieve sales volume, pricing, and collection targets within defined timelines.
- Monitor profitability of each segment and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Coordinate with Accounts and Logistics for smooth order-to-delivery processes.
Product Support & Market Alignment
- Provide market feedback to R&D and Production for quality and grade improvements.
- Support new product trials and commercial roll-outs in coordination with technical teams.
- Identify opportunities for product differentiation and value addition.
Marketing Communication & Branding
- Contribute to development of promotional materials, brochures, and digital campaigns.
- Support brand-building initiatives and ensure consistent brand presence in the market.
- Collaborate with internal teams for customer presentations and technical awareness programs.
Team & Cross-functional Coordination
- Guide and support regional sales executives in achieving their targets.
- Coordinate effectively with production planning, dispatch, and customer service teams.
- Encourage a collaborative culture to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Track market trends, competitor pricing, and product movements.
- Maintain updated data on customer segments, consumption patterns, and conversion opportunities.
- Prepare regular MIS reports for management review and forecasting.
Key Requirements
- Graduate/Postgraduate with specialization in Marketing / Business Management
- 8–12 years of experience in Sales & Marketing in the Paper Industry, preferably in Cone/Core Board or MG Specialty segments.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage distributor networks and expand customer base.
- Target-driven professional with a proactive market-oriented approach.
