Maintenance Manager  – Mechanical ( AGM/Sr.Manager)  for the Chemical Recovery Department  is responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of critical equipment, including the Lime Kiln, Causticizer, Evaporator, and Recovery Boiler. Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance Planning and Execution

• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules for the Lime Kiln, Causticizer, Evaporator, and Recovery Boiler.
• Supervise the maintenance team to execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Plan and manage shutdowns and turnarounds to minimize production downtime.

2. Equipment Reliability and Performance

• Monitor the performance of mechanical systems to ensure optimal efficiency and reliability.
• Identify and address recurring issues through root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
• Upgrade equipment and processes to enhance reliability and reduce energy consumption.

3. Safety and Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and training for the maintenance team.
• Maintain compliance with statutory requirements and industry best practices.

4. Resource Management

• Oversee inventory management for spare parts, tools, and consumables required for mechanical maintenance.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to procure quality materials and services within budget.
• Manage maintenance budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions.

5. Team Leadership and Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team to build technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities.
• Establish performance goals and conduct regular reviews for the team.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

6. Coordination and Reporting

• Collaborate with process and operations teams to align maintenance activities with production goals.
• Prepare and present detailed maintenance reports, including downtime analysis, cost metrics, and improvement plans.

Key Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems used in the Lime Kiln, Causticizer, Evaporator, and Recovery Boiler.
• Proficiency in maintenance strategies, including condition-based monitoring and failure analysis.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, environmental standards, and statutory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and optimize resources effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Prior experience in the paper industry, specifically in chemical recovery operations, is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in maintenance software tools and SAP modules is an advantage.
