Graduate Engineer Job

Graduate Engineer JOB Trainee (GET) in the Pulp and Paper Industry, you will undergo structured training and hands-on experience in Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), Customer Support, and Product Development. The role will involve monitoring production quality, assisting in product development, troubleshooting customer concerns, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Control (QC):

  • Conduct quality inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  • Perform laboratory tests, analyze data, and report deviations.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving quality issues in production.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure adherence to quality standards.

2. Quality Assurance (QA):

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of ISO, FSC, and other industry standards.
  • Assist in documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Conduct audits and internal process reviews to identify gaps and improvements.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality assurance.

3. Customer Support:

  • Interact with customers to understand product-related issues and provide solutions.
  • Support the technical team in addressing customer complaints and queries.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to provide technical insights.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations for customers.

4. Product Development:

  • Assist in research and development of new grades of paper or pulp-based products.
  • Evaluate raw materials and process modifications for improved performance.
  • Participate in trials and pilot-scale testing of new products.
  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to suggest product enhancements.
  • Document findings and prepare reports for senior management.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech/BASc/Diploma in Paper Technology,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of quality control techniques and testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, BIS, FSC, etc.) is a plus.
  • Good communication skills for customer interaction and technical presentations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis tools.

Training & Career Growth:

  • Initial 6–12 months structured training across different departments.
  • Exposure to advanced quality management systems and customer engagement.
