Role Summary
Results-driven Area Sales Manager to lead and oversee a team of Sales Officers within the FMCG industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, ensuring team performance, and building strong relationships with distributors and retailers in the assigned area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, mentor, and guide Sales Officers to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies for the assigned region to maximize revenue and market penetration.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers to ensure smooth supply chain operations and product availability.
- Identify and tap into new market opportunities to expand the customer base and drive growth.
- Monitor and analyze sales team performance, ensuring timely action to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
- Execute trade promotions, schemes, and other marketing initiatives to enhance product visibility and sales.
- Prepare regular sales reports and present insights to the senior management team.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, including pricing strategies and credit management.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the FMCG sector, with at least 2 years in a team management role.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency in using sales and CRM software.
- Deep understanding of FMCG distribution channels, trade dynamics, and market trends.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region
