Accounts Manager Job !! Accounts manager responsible for the overall financial management, accounting, and compliance functions of the organization. The role involves ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial statements, managing audits, statutory compliances, and supporting business decisions through effective financial planning and control. The position requires a strategic finance professional with strong exposure to listed company environments and proven ability to independently finalize balance sheets and lead financial governance.
Acccounts Manager Job Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Audit:
- Independently finalize the company’s Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and other statutory financial statements.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely closure of audits as per regulatory norms applicable to listed entities.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control:
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Implement effective cost control measures to optimize resource utilization.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure timely compliance with Direct and Indirect Tax provisions.
- Manage accurate accounting of tax credit utilization, reversal of input credits, and tax payments.
- Handle assessment proceedings and prepare responses under the Income Tax Act, 1961.
- Attend and resolve GST-related issues, including Show Cause Notices pertaining to Input Tax Credit and related matters.
Cash Flow & Fund Management:
- Oversee cash flow statements, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational and project needs.
- Support business growth through fund planning, raising finance for new projects, and managing banking relationships.
Strategic & Business Support:
- Contribute to strategic decision-making through financial insights and performance analytics.
- Support management in evaluating investment opportunities and capital expenditure planning.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team to ensure efficiency and accuracy in all accounting functions.
- Foster a culture of transparency, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the department.
Key Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 12 years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven track record in handling finance and accounts functions in listed companies.
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, taxation, and audit processes.
- Ability to independently finalize financial statements and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Sound understanding of fund management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong analytical ability with business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- Willingness to relocate with family and commit to long-term association.
