Chinese passport holders can now apply for a Philippines e-Visa online for short visits, making travel for tourism or business more convenient without having to visit an embassy or consulate in person. The Philippines e-Visa system was officially launched in November 2025 through Philippine foreign service posts in Beijing, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macau, Shanghai, and Xiamen, and allows Chinese nationals (including those in Mainland China and Special Administrative Regions) to submit visa applications online anytime via the authorized VFS Global e-Visa portal.
The e-Visa issued to Chinese travelers is valid for a single stay of up to 14 days and is non-extendable and non-convertible; holders must enter the Philippines through Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Manila) or Mactan-Cebu International Airport (Cebu). The online process includes filling out the application form, uploading required documents (such as a valid passport), paying the applicable fees, and tracking your status through the portal, and processing typically takes a few working days.
Separately, effective 16 January 2026, the Philippines also introduced visa-free entry for Chinese nationals for stays of up to 14 days (with specific conditions like a passport valid for six months and confirmed accommodation), but this visa-free stay is separate from the e-Visa and applies only at designated international airports.
